The Analect IX.28: "The wise are free from perplexities; the virtuous from anxiety; and the bold from fear."

Yesterday, around twenty minutes past midnight, subsan came over to my place to pass me his drill. Since it was kind of late, i did't expect to see anyone lurking around. However, after i walked a distance from the lift lobby, i felt someone behind me.

My reaction was kind of slow. I mean, in normal circumstances, if it's late at night and you're a girl who is alone and feel a stranger behind you, you would probably walk faster towards area that's well lit. As for me, i don't know why i wanted to see who the person is when i don't even have my spectacles with me. i clearly know that subsan will be in front of me and not sneaking around behind me.

consequently, i took a blur look at the person. He seems like a tall lanky guy in black tee and blonde hair. can't tell if he's good looking good or not. can't even see where his nose is. My first thought was whether that guy is subsan? But... clearly, subsan won't change his looks after going to the zoo. hence, i decided to pretend to that i didn't see him.

while i was at my pretence, the guy came over. he spoke in chinese, asking if i've seen a guy in white tee about his height. i said no, he said thank you. i said welcome. =O) i was thinking that he's so polite! =O) and that people living around my estate are young, polite people who have a night life. =O) *it made me quite happy for a while*

Subsequently the guy crossed the road and somehow, a white guy appear and joined him at the playground. that was when subsan came. i don't know if he saw the guys.

*the story is ending soon*

when i reached home, i listened to 93.3, a local chinese radio station. The deejay started rambling something about the "seventh month" (aka the hungry ghost festival) and the new movie The Maid. the deejay said something like the movie is about a maid, who is new in Singapore, didn't take the taboos of the month seriously. She did just what the taboos forbid and got into a series of trouble. One such taboo is if someone calls you from behind, don't look back.

i felt so scared upon hearing that. it's like "oh no! is today the hungry ghost festival?" so scary!!! what if i'm the only who can see those 2 guys?
