restless.

I have three papers next week - two law papers and one Melayu. the law papers require a lot of preparation but i just don't seem to be in the mood for law. I don't like to read statutes, they are so dry, so hard to comprehend. I used to like reading case laws especially judgments passed by Lord Dennings because he always uses a lot of analogies which can be very entertaining to read. these days i read very little of Lord Dennings because the kind of law i'm studying now is quite different. WTO, FTA cases, arbitration cases are very factual, and the panalists don't seem to be as imaginative in their choice of words.

i've been surfing the web for the past hour. i didn't realised that i haven't visited a lot of those websites in my bookmarks until just now. it's kind of lonely to find several of the websites which i used to frequent have been abandoned. owners didn't even leave any trace of where they re-located to. the feeling is like a friend who shifted house, changed telephone without informing at all. argh... then again, it's probably my fault for ignoring the websites for so long.

do you remember colorgenics?

i remember playing colorgenics in the past and it always gives me some interesting perspectives about myself. i saw it on a person's blog then i got hooked to it. i tried clicking on a lot of combinations and read about the personal profiles. the profile from the very first attempt was very positive, so positive that i hardly believe that its describing me. the next few profiles got a bit depressing, then a bit uplifting, then a bit depressing again. erh.. seems like i can't make up my mind on the colours. i kept trying until the last two sets of colour combinations created the same personal profile.

"You appear to others around you as a person who is simply 'laid back'. From time to time you shelve your ambitions and forgo the desire for prestige and recognition and you are often considered as mentally lazy. You have the ability and you are the first to know this, but you prefer to take things easy and indulge your longing for comfort and security.

You are very orderly, methodical and self sufficient. You demand and need the respect, recognition and understanding of all those who enter into your sphere on influence.

Although you are, deep down, a very caring person, you are very particular in the choice of friends and indeed very demanding at times. You can be most quarrelsome and controversial and it is because of this argumentative trait you can at times explode into open conflict - conflict with even those you may care for and love. It is because of this inherent argumentative streak in you that may have resulted in broken hopes and dreams.

You are an emotional, sincere and impressionable individual experiencing frustration and unnecessary stress. You are carried away by other people's enthusiasm and looking for that idealised relationship, be it in a business or personal situation, which you are able to share with a mutual depth of understanding. You have lowered your defences in the past and you have been hurt, so you are now extremely wary of being exploited. You are still ready to trust people on the condition that they are prepared to offer you proof of their sincerity.

You really would like to be completely uninhibited - to let your hair down - but you are held back by your sense of logic and rationalilty, since you realise that by simple stupidity you could lose everything - whatever that may be."

This profile doesn't surprise me as much as other profiles did in the past. maybe its because i tried it too many times. then again, i find myself very disbelieving of personality test and such recently. wonder why.

Anyway, i'm glad to see the visualDNA on some blogs. it's a very quick way to peep into people's life and desires. =p

Well, that's is an English proverb, which sounds:"man proposes, God disposes", which carries the meanning that as long as we tried our best, God would take care the rest of it.

Oh yes, that's another English proverb which says:"all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" - When you are preparing yourself for the coming challenges, make sure you don't turn yourself into a "dull girl",ok? ;-D
